Our Principal

Brandon Deans is the Founder and Principal of McNeill Bay Growth Partners.

Brandon advises clients on the strategic and transactional decisions that shape a business from early growth and capital raising through exit, including venture financings, M&A, corporate governance and capital markets transactions, and may also make selective principal investments alongside founders, business owners and existing investors where there is strong long-term alignment.

Brandon is also a corporate and securities lawyer* at Reed Pope Business Lawyers, a boutique business law firm based in Victoria, British Columbia. Brandon was previously based in Vancouver, where he worked at leading national and boutique law firms and developed expertise advising on domestic and cross-border financings, M&A and strategic transactions. Brandon has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as “One to Watch” for five consecutive years, most recently for work in Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Securities Law and Technology Law.

Outside of his professional practice, Brandon enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, travelling, staying active and following the NBA. He is passionate about entrepreneurship, investing and helping clients build enduring businesses.
